Carefree Lodge: About
As one of the long-term care homes operated under the City of Toronto, Carefree Lodge is one of the smaller homes with around 127 residents and is located in North York, Ontario at 306 Finch Avenue East. With the help of volunteers, the home provides many activities for the residents such as bingo, games afternoon, resident BBQs, and many other volunteer-led programs supported by the recreation office. The volunteer coordinator at Carefree Lodge is Lysa Springer-Laks, who will be working with us to set up the program and hand out volunteeer hours, so if you are interested in volunteering at the home, contact the email listed below!

Carefree-Havergal Letter Program:
This program will be held over the span of 1-2 months (10 weeks), where a minimum of 5 letters will be written. For each letter, the volunteer will be granted 1-2 volunteer hours where the letter would be due by the end of every other week to be delivered to the seniors. Every two weeks, we will also provide you with a theme to write your letter around although more information about the program will be provided upon acceptance.
